over 20 years.  He currently holds multiple black belts in both
Taekwondo and Modern Arnis.  "Mr. Chuck" is a graduate of
Northwestern University and the DePaul University College of

THE ARTS
Chang's Martial Arts Academy offers instruction in three
martial arts.  Study of any one of these arts will provide the
student with intense physical and mental training as well as
practical self defense skills.

Tae Kwon Do is a modern Korean martial art and sport.  It is
similar in many ways to Karate, but relies more heavily upon
kicking techniques.  The name means "Way of the Foot and
the Fist".  Taekwondo has been an Olympic sport since its
introduction at the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympic games.

Modern Arnis is an eclectic Filipino art that combines stick
fighting, empty-hand techniques, locks, throws and edged
weapon defense.  It was developed by the late
Grandmaster Remy Amador Presas who introduced the art to
the United States in the early 1980s.  More information about
Arnis is available at
www.modernarnis.net.

Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese internal martial art known in the
United States primarily for its health benefits.  However, the
same exercises that improve health, relaxation, balance and
flexibility generate tremendous power and contain
devastating self-defense techniques.  The Academy is
privileged to have Instructor Tim Chapman teaching this
fascinating and challenging art.
